While most of our components are stock items (Vantec ESC, MagMotors, Battlepacks) Matt designed and fabricated several key items. When we couldn't find a double sprocket, Matt made one by bolting two together. Sparks flew as Matt used a Dremel tool to cut off the ends of the bolts.
The ESC cover was made from 1/8" polycarconate to protect the delicate workings from debris. The added bonus was space to mount cooling fans. Matt drilled holes in the side opposite the fans to allow ventilation.
Matt's battery/ESC holder bolts to the bottom of the robot and holds the package securely between the top and bottom of the robot. The bottom of the holder has channels routed in it to help cool the batteries.
